Soy Products can Cause Leukemia Cancer
Even though many people have said that one of the healthiest foods is soy and that it decreases the possibility of cancer, recent studies have demonstrated the contrary. One of the components of the soy products known as Phytoestrogens can produce cancer especially in children. A study made in 1999 showed that soy products are rich in this component and soy is largely used in children formulas, which are utilized by thousands of people around the world. Scientists now believe that the phytoestrogen found in soy can be a contributory agent in the increase of acute infantile leukemia and secondary infantile leukemia.
An earlier study made in 1998 also showed the probability of developing cancer, but that time it was focused in the increase of cancer among women, especially breast cancer. It also showed the risk of developing cancer in post menopausal women who use soy products. A study in 2000 actually showed a strong link between “Cleavage in the MLL gene” and soy products as part of the cause in infantile acute leukemia.
Statistics show that between 1973 and 1996 infantile leukemia augmented 17% and that time it has kept on growing. Also, between 1992 and 1996, 20 in 100,000 children were identified with different kinds of cancer (a lot of them were leukemia).
If you or someone you know is suffering or has died from cancer and has consumed large amounts of soy products, contact a lawyer using the link below.
